AltheaDx Appoints Cyrus Mirsaidi Vice President of Business Development, Sales and Marketing
SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 15, 2008: AltheaDx, Inc. announced today that Cyrus Mirsaidi has been appointed Vice President of Business Development, Sales and Marketing, reporting directly to the CEO. Mr. Mirsaidi brings more than 15 years of senior management experience in strategic planning, business development, sales and marketing in the clinical diagnostics and pharmaceutical discovery industries. Mr. Mirsadi has a track record of negotiating successful deals and creating dynamic teams to achieve aggressive company objectives. AltheaDx is focused on providing genetic testing services to biopharma and clinical diagnostics related to oncology applications.

Mr. Mirsaidi held several senior level sales and marketing positions in his ten-year career at Nichols Institute Diagnostics (a division of Quest Diagnostics). He has been a contributor to several biotech and pharmaceutical discovery companies, including his role as Executive Director and General Manager of Ontogen Discovery Systems with full P&L responsibility. After joining Althea Technologies in 2006, he has led the effort to leverage and expand the company’s intellectual property portfolio and biopharma services business, resulting in the AltheaDx spin-out from Althea Technologies.
